Mother and Her Adolescent Cubs
Khutzeymateen Grizzly Bear Sanctuary
Mother bear known locally as "Betty" and her two adolescent cubs. Betty had three cubs last year, but apparently only two made it to their second year. With cub mortality at 25% in the Khutzeymateen, that is, unfortunately, not unexpected. Photo © copyright by Joe Luedtke.
